What We Can Expect from Brahmāstra Movie

 Brahmāstra is upcoming Indian superhero fantasy movie which is coming from Bollywood under the banner of Dharma Productions ( Karan Johar Film production house). The movie is written and directed by AYAN MUKHERJEE. The movie is in development for almost 7 years. Obviously pandemic played some role in it. But It is the much awaited most anticipated Bollywood movie from recent. Director Ayan Mukerji said that this movie is a part of a bigger Cinematic universe like MCU or DCU(?( This universe is named as ĀSTRAVERSE as The plot of the universe is around the Cosmic divine Astra of the universe...most of which are adopted from ancient Hindu literature. The teaser and synopsis are out. 

Ok now come to tittle topic.. Let's discuss What can WE EXPECT from the MOVIE and which things we shouldn't expect from it

VISUAL:

 The trailer has been already realeased..and there is no doubt..we are going to experience extraordinary visual. I wouldn't surprise if every action scene is completely made out of VFX and CGI. From the trailer it looks promising. we can expect one of the best VFX work of Bollywood but you shouldn't expect some Hollywood level shit. Keeping the budget in mind, we should keep our expectation under the bar

STORYLINE: 

Director said that he took 10 years to develop the story ( may be whole  trilogy)..It is very good for bollywood that they are actually spending time on writing a genuine plot , instead of copying or adopting others, but we all know how bollywood roams around the romance and other typical lecture giving stuff...and we also have seen it in trailer and kesariya. I am not saying romantic stuff shouldn't be there..but I am a little sceptical about how it will compliment the fantasy supernatural genre with God like being. Hence you can take it as a pinch of salt

ĀSTRAVERSE:

 Brahmāstra movie is selling as part a cinematic universe called ĀSTRAVERSE but you should know that there are some differences between cinematic universe and movie franchise

Franchise is a collection of the same storyline or continuation of a single story arc (like John wick, star trek, how to train your dragon) whereas a cinematic universe represents a widen storyline with  multiple characters, their individual storyarc and crossover.

They announced Brahmāstra as a trilogy. We don't know if it is  all about Ranbir's Shiva or they will introduce entirely different characters in the later parts

The best thing is that Bollywood is trying something different from their usual textbook work. We will be definitely Experiencing something new in India so we should give it a chance and hope for the best..
